May Arts Design Team Submission with Tutorials
Yes I am trying out for a design team. I love May arts Ribbons so this would be so great. I am so excited. The deadline is today. I know last minute. But I just had to try. I have been working on a few projects to submit for some time though.
So without further hold up here are some creations and a video tutorial on how to make one of them.
First up is a banner I made for both this submission and the DCWV/May Arts Challenge.
I used DCWV's Snapshot Stack . I am so in love with this stack. I was also given ribbons from May Arts to use. One I hope May Art's can help me Identify. The Yellow chevron is my favorite. I want one in every color.
I also made it for my son's graduation to display pictures of the school events. It is a very very small school.
I love these Polaroid
pieces I cut out

Now it looks great over my little wall embellishment house. |
Here is a quick an easy apron that I got for working at Michael's as a prize. But it was fairly plain and had no pockets. So I got out my scraps of material and some Great May arts ribbon oh and the sewing machine. Here is what I came up with.
I had just enough ribbon left to tie two little knot bows at the top. |
Here is the May Art's Ribbon I used. Love it. Black and Beige. |
Here are the pockets I added and accented with Stripped May arts ribbon. There are two loops on each end of the pockets for pens or tools |
Next is my Silly and Adorable layout of my daughter Kylee.
The paper, Brads and Chipboard pieces are from My Mind's Eye Howdy Doody Collection. I love it.
Here is a quick tutorial on how to make the flower.
I love this Dreamweaver Stencils Emobossing paste to add texture to my designs. I used a honeycomb shaped stencil and brushed on the embossing paste. Then I added Crystal Stickles by Ranger between the comb and as accents on some of the chipboard pieces. And on the yellow doily I got at Michael's in the now $1.50 bin.
Last but certainly not least, a quick video tutorial to make this frame inspired by the May Arts Ribbons Shown.
